Timothy Wandulu
(b. 1990) is a contemporary, interdisciplinary Rwandan artist, born in Uganda. He lives and works in Kigali, where he owns his own art studio. He works with painting, sculpture, installation, performance, and architecture and design.Wandulu views his art as a means of connecting people. He aims for viewers to see their own experiences reflected in his work. In his artistic practice, he frequently experiments with materials, using photography, typography, and text to create works on canvas and paper that capture and emphasize social stories, experiences, aspirations, and dreams of the people he depicts. The foundation of his work is always the relationship with another person.The artist has taken part in many exhibitions in Rwanda, including a solo show at Heaven Restaurant in Kigali, the project I Have a Dream at the United States Embassy in Kigali, and an exhibition at Inema Art Center in Kigali.
